I first got to know Jerry during junior high.  He sat behind me in Mr Pruitt's science class, and we used to commiserate about assignments that weren't to our liking.  In high school, we were at many of the same parties.  He was always available for a talk, a good friend, and a great guy!  You are missed.

Jerry Elson surely was one of the good guys. I remember watching him, Doug “Skeeter”McConnell, Bill Duncan to name a few playing baseball at Emmons Field.  He was one of my many crushes back then.  Fast forward my memories of Jerry are after he married my sister and became part of our family.  He still played ball, had his own business and was a bit of a workaholic.  He was a great father figure to the two young children that came with the marriage.  It was a quite a blow when we lost him (and then her).  Isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of of them both.  He was just an all around good guy.
