Oh Jack...what a prankster he was! I first hung out with Jack when we worked together at the bakery inside Young's IGA. I sold the baked goods and he helped the baker. I will never forget his smoking a cigarette while watching the ashes fall in the glaze for the glazed donuts. And laughing our heads off about it. This would have been the summer after graduation.

I sort of lost track of Jack for awhile and then somehow found him again. He was living in his parents home on Walnut Street. Lots of parties at the house and he just had a wit I didn't realize when we were younger. After Jack got sick, he opted to die at home. I will never forget going to see him right before his death and it was just gut wrenching. I held his hand until I thought I was going to break down. I went to my folks' home and threw myself on the floor and cried until I was cried out. But his celebration of life in his house was just what Jack would have wanted. Lots of food and booze and music and laughter and videos of him being goofy. It was a trip to get to know Jack and wish he could be at our reunion and I could see him one more time. Love ya little buddy..
