I grew up on Rt 603 just north of Rt42.  Mike lived south of 42 off 603 about 3mile bike ride.  In the fall sometimes after the long bus#14 ride, I'd jump on my bike with my 22LR w/scope and ride to Mike's family farm.  Meet up with Mike and hike to hay fields where we scoped ground hogs.  Mike had anger problems.  He did not have car privilages so I took him to AHS basket ball games. Once, after a game in Mansfield and driving home, he yelled obsenties at a Mansfield Sr. car while I was driving on Park Ave West.  He said lets fight!  Mike made me pull over into large parking lot where he got out and approached the other fellows.  I stayed in the car. Fists were drawn and fighting began and suddenly Mike's face was being rubbed into the black top.  Other fellows got into their  car and drove off.   Mike did not get up.  I came to his aid applied pressure to his bleeding (first class boy scout skills) and drove him Samaritan Hosptial to get many stiches.  I got home late after my curfew but Dad excused me once he knew what happended.  Mike's sister told me he was married 5 times.  He died while being loved by his grandchildren and at peace....
