I will pass this along from Kevin Linke (Class of 1974):
The ‘68 “in remembrance” page is haunting...
I certainly knew Connie Gault: Although I have no memory of our 1st house on Sharon Ave., the Gault sisters (Connie & Chrissy) lived on the other side of the small creek that ran behind that house.
Even though I didn’t really know Connie & Chrissy, when Mom & Dad would visit the Gaults in later years (probably the late ‘50s - early ‘60’s) and take me along, the sisters were always very kind to me and acted like they knew me from scratch (which they might have!). I was sorry to read Connie was gone.
Connie and Chris were Bookside Park kids, like me. I recall they had a library of books in their home, so it wasn't surprising to encounter Connie as the Head Librarian at Ashland Public Library. It appeared she was tireless in her commitment and I left the building feeling she was a gift to the community of Ashland. It was a pleasure to know her.
