Jim and I suffered through our first summer football practice running the 440 every morning, and bonded walking back to the locker room to get dressed for practice. We spent many an enjoyable evening in his Jeep riding through the Dairy Dolly and completing the loop around the A&W. He suggested that I apply at Eagle Rubber for a summer job after our senior year, he worked the second shift and I worked in shipping (5, 12 hour days and only 8 on Saturday). He mentioned that he had meet some cute twins during that summer and he needed a wing man to ask them out. I said I would only to find out (the day of the date) that they were my cousins. Great sense of humor, and  a Great guy. miss him and the fun times we had.

I always envied Jim Campbell! His mom and sisters were always doting over him!  Also, whenever Jeff Keetle and I went over to Jim's house to hang out, whether daytime or nightime, we were treated like kings!  Always willing to fix us whatever we wanted!  We had many great meals served after midnight!

Then there were the hours we spent riding around in Jim's jeep!  The time that has always stuck in my memory is a ride down some "cow path" road at night.  A rabbit suddenly jumps out of the tall grass onto the road ahead of us in range of the headlights!  Realizing we are headed straight at him, he takes off running ahead of us going as fast as he possibly can!  And of course, Jim sped up instead of slowing down.  Fortunately, the rabbit baled and jumped into the tall grass along the road at the last second.  We all laughed when Jeff said "man, that rabbit was running so fast his ass was ahead of him!!!!! "  What great times we had.

I wish Jim and Jeff were going to be at the reunion!
